'Amanda's Life Behind Bars' "Foxy Knoxy's Cellmate Speaks Out!"
Amanda Knox was a student from University of Washington majoring in Language. In November 2007, Knox took a semester at Perugia University for Foreigners in Italy. Because Knox DNA was on the murder weapon, a kitchen knife she was the suspect to Meradith Kercher her roommate death.
The police found Kercher body in the home of Knox and Kercher shared apartment in Italy. Prosecutors believe Knox had help from her ex-boyfriend Rafaelle Solecito of slitting Kercher’s throat. When Knox was arrested and taken into custody she was only twenty years old. Knox claims she was at her boyfriend Rafaelle home during the murder of Kercher. In 2009, Knox and her previous ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito were convicted of sexually assaulting and killing Kercher. Knox was sentenced to twenty-six years and Sollecito twenty-five years. Knox denies killing her roommate; her lawyers are trying to find new witnesses and a full review of the case. Knox is in Capanne Prison outside Perugia, Italy. The director of the prison, Bernardina di Marco says Knox is well behaving prisoner, there is no trouble out of her. Knox works in Commissary, where she takes orders and delivers goods. Amanda Knox old cellmate tells OK! When Knox first arrived she was shy but as time went on she became brave and gregarious. Florisbele Inocencio de Jesus says if any of the female inmates needed anything they could go to Knox and she will get it for them. De Jesus did a year in Capanne on drug charges but now lives in Viterbo near Rome. De Jesus wrote a book called Passeggiando con Amanda (Walking with Amanda). In the book, de Jesus talks about how Knox wrote poems to comfort other inmates. Knox would sing along with a guitar for entertainment. Children who visited their parents, wanted to visit Knox as well. De Jesus states “Children know when someone is a good person”. Lifetime wants to make a movie about Knox. The title is ‘The Amanda Knox Story’.
